Compliance Manager with a minimum of 5 years of previous experience as a Compliance professional in a company. English is a must and professional command of Spanish is an asset.


Our client is a holding of a group located in Switzerland and Spain which consolidates the established values of its companies under the umbrella of a clearly structured holding.

Currently, there are two Business Activities in the Group:

One of the business activity´s headquarters is located in Madrid and it is the largest business activity and one of the leading manufacturers of built-in home appliances and stainless-steel sink activities.

The other business activity is headquartered in Switzerland and is a worldwide leader of stainless steel containers and container solutions.

This group has a firm commitment towards society and this, together with its business ethics, result in a high value for their clients and end users. The group is undergoing a challenging transformation and integration project worldwide.

It is currently seeking to hire a Compliance Manager for its international Legal, Governance and Compliance Function and to be based in Madrid.

In this newly-created position, the Compliance Manager will be based in the group office in the center of Madrid (Spain) and will report to the Head of Group Compliance & Governance who is based in Switzerland. He/she will provide compliance advice to all the business departments of the group to help them achieve their objectives.

The Compliance Manager will be in direct contact and will engage with the business on all levels, including senior executives and mid-level management, and will provide the optimal level of compliance guidance.

He/she will support the Group functions, the Business Activities and its subsidiaries in conducting its business in full compliance with all applicable regulations, accepted industry business practices, and the Group`s policies and values. This role plays an important part in increasing the Group`s compliance culture and effectiveness of compliance by increasing awareness and continuous monitoring.

As a Compliance Manager, he/she will also be expected to provide to:

  • Manage day-to-day compliance activities related to the Group and its Business Activities businesses across the globe.
  • Support the development and effective implementation of global policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures, to ensure compliance with the Group`s values, Code of Business Conduct and various international and local laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and direction on compliance processes, activities, systems (including compliance databases and other electronic compliance tools), and administration.
  • Work with business and support Head of Group Compliance & Governance to develop, coordinate, and manage compliance education and training programs and systems.
  • Serve as compliance training instructor.
  • Proactively research/resolve compliance-related questions and serve as a trusted expert on Compliance matters.
  • Provide support and conduct compliance reviews and investigations, and prepare related written reports.
  • Understand, monitor and report on best compliance practices.
  • Work with Head of Group Head of Compliance & Governance to identify compliance gaps and work with appropriate business functions to correct and/or mitigate potential issues.
  • Support in preparation of presentations and reports to business leaders, senior management and Group-level committees on compliance activities, issues, and processes.
  • Handle various administrative tasks and compliance projects
  • Other duties as required.


We are looking for a Compliance Manager with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a big 4 or a multinational in Compliance / Controls / Internal Audit or similar functions. The candidate must have a related university degree, and a professional degree like ACCA, CIMA or equivalent specific compliance certification will be a significant advantage. He/she will have the positive attitude to be a true business partner showing genuine interest in business processes and a strong willingness to learn. The Complaince Manager must be proactive with a “can-do” attitude, and must be able to provide practical advice while balancing business needs and compliance requirements.

He/she will have excellent people skills and must be able to communicate and collaborate with senior management and junior staff with same level of respect and fairness.The ideal candidate must simultaneously have a firm understanding of the business and its underlying processes. This role requires being patient and resilient with strong ethical values. Excellent communication skills at all levels are indispensable, both in writing and verbally. The ideal candidate shall be a flexible person who can adapt to changes and contribute to the current transformation of the group to enhance its competitive position and integrate its current internal organisation.

The candidate must be fluent English, having an excellent command at a professional level. Spanish or any other languages will be a great asset.
